Overview

KD Pharma designed, developed and patented kd-pür, the Super Critical Fluid (SCF) Technology for the gentle extraction and purification of PUFAs (Poly Unsaturated Fatty Acids), most notably highly pure and concentrated Omega-3s.

Our kd-pür technology coupled with our expert know-how allows us to produce Omega-3 fatty acids of unsurpassed quality and purity and in maximum concentrations of up to 99%. 

History

KD Pharma was founded in 1988 specializing in the field of separation technologies. Originally we focused on the development of extraction and purification technology for lactulose, a synthetic sugar used primarily as a pharmaceutical ingredient.

Following the successful sale of our innovative lactulose technology our focus shifted to the promising Omega-3 market, which today is the fastest growing category in health products and where we now produce the purest and most concentrated Omega-3 oils available in the industry.

Present and Future

In January 2008 KD Pharma was acquired by Bioseutica plc. Bioseutica is the vertically integrated specialty pharmaceutical group with a global presence, dedicated to the development of the highest quality products, using renewable natural sources, for the healthcare, food and feed industries. 

KD Pharma under the leadership of Bioseutica continues to innovate with a current focus on exploring and defining sustainable raw materials to source, extract and purify Omega-3 fatty acids.
