EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) is the C20H30O2 Omega-3 polyunsaturated essential fatty acid that is richly found in marine sources, such as fish. Like other Omega-3 fatty acids is considered essential as it is necessary for our well being, but it is not produced by the human body, and, therefore, it must be obtained through diet. EPA is primarily known for its ability to improve cardiovascular health by lowering triglyceride levels and maintaining a normal cholesterol level.
